Praise Team Expectations

The protocol to follow if you have a conflict (sickness, out of town, etc) is to contact the Vocal Arts Associate at tshackelford@themetonline.org or my mobile at 281.503.6388 ASAP to let me know.

1) CHOIR REHEARSALS - Each Praise Team member is expected to attend Wednesday night choir rehearsal regardless of if they sing on PT that week.  The Praise Team opportunity is above and beyond your commitment to choir.  The exceptions to this standard are personal or family sickness, emergencies, every so often job conflicts, vacations, or intergenerational responsibilities.

2) SUNDAY MORNINGS
- Each PT member is expected to sing in at least one
worship service of their choice each week regardless if they are on PT that
week. (Feel free to sing in all three if you would like). Also, be on time with IEM pack and mic for the 7:15 a.m. call time...this is huge as the extras in the flow are talked through. Standard exceptions apply here too.

3) WED NIGHT WC REHEARSALS - Each PT member is expected to be on time and prepared.  Do NOT bring music to read unless the post on the website is very
last minute.  Each PT member needs to have familiarized themselves with the
music online before rehearsal on Wednesday night.  Charts can't be spread
across the stage...this bleeds lack of prep to other singers, the band and
the WL.

4) PARTS - Each PT member is expected to sing their part (SAT).  The key to
remember here is that if one person switches on the fly, it effects all other parts so any personal prep is thrown out the window.  The typical arrangements will have either soprano or tenor singing melody so adjust accordingly.

5) EVALUATION - To tighten up vocals on our core songs, we will provide
a CD of the third service to each of you the Wednesday night after the Sunday you sing.  The mix will have your part emphasized in the 3-part harmony and there will be no WL vocal..just band and PT.  This will help to better all vocalists in their craft and allow blending issues to be fixed.
