Instrumental Arts

Our bands lay the foundation in the worship experience of The MET. While we serve as support to the vocal teams, the Worship Band plays a leading role in creating an environment and culture for worship and service. Our Core Values include calling, commitment, competence and confidence. Does this describe you?

Band members currently rotate based on need and availability. Potential members are auditioned and are expected to be unified team players—partnering to accomplish a goal bigger than themselves.

Estimated Time Requirements

Rehearsals are Sundays 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday mornings start as early as 7 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Individual preparation time is based on your practice skill and need.

Cultural Awareness

- Preparation is key to fluid rehearsals and services. Band members are expected to be practiced and ready prior to rehearsals.

- The band uses an IEM (In Ear Monitoring) system called AVIOM. This enables members to mix up to 16 channels to their personal preferences.

- The band plays everything to a click track. Many charts are synchronized to video or percussion loops.

- The Worship Ministry web site is the primary means of communication for schedules, calendar of events, charts, and audio files.  Members have access to print their charts and see upcoming set lists.

- It’s a lot of work but the personal and eternal rewards far outweigh the sacrifice.
