Heath Rosborough

Heath Rosborough | Voice Instructor

Originally from the small town of Thomaston, Georgia, Heath began singing in his home church at the age of seven.  By the time he was in high school, he was competing across the state as the school’s soloist and first tenor.  At the age of fifteen, he began traveling intermittently with a southern gospel group as a vocalist and saxophonist.  Heath ministered for three years domestically and internationally, in such places as Ireland, England and Scotland.

Returning from an overseas trip in 1999, Heath became aware that the contemporary Christian music group, The Sound, out of Houston, Texas was in need of vocalists.  He flew to Texas for the audition and was welcomed back as a member of the group.  Heath spent the next fourteen months traveling the United States, ministering through music.

After moving to Houston, Heath met Wendy Hughes, the woman that would become his wife, and they married in May 2000.  Upon assuming the role of husband, Heath decided to leave the road to make Lakewood Church, where his wife was already a member, his home.  Heath began serving in the choir and ensemble at Lakewood, which led to his becoming heavily involved in Lakewood’s music department under the direction of Cindy Cruse Ratcliff.  For six years, Heath served in Lakewood’s music department leading praise and worship at various ministry events and providing special music in the services when requested.  Heath also traveled for two years with Joel Osteen Ministries throughout America as a member of the worship team, leading thousands of people into the presence of God through worship.

Heath, together with his wife, Wendy, established Throne Room Records in 2004, an independent record label that desires to convey the reality of God’s love through the music it supports, and along with producer Mark Townsend (Israel Houghton, Third Day) began production on, Clarity In Heaven, Heath’s debut album on the label.  Comprised of ten original tunes birthed straight from learning how to walk (and sometimes crawl) by faith toward the dreams that God has placed in our hearts, Clarity In Heaven is filled with songs of encouragement and inspiration for all who desire to see God’s purpose fulfilled in their life.  From the title cut, “Clarity In Heaven”, to the rock influenced “Let Go”, to the soulful sounds of “I Believe” and “I’ve Got the Victory”, the word of God is woven throughout the entire project.  “Weep Not My Child” and “Here I Am” reflect God’s tenderness toward us as he comforts us through the challenges we face, while “I Praise Your Name” rounds out the CD with a worshipful tone.

According to Heath, this season has been one of “getting out of our box and getting into God’s plan.  As we look to him, we see that he has so much more for each of us than we realize.”
